Thank you for volunteering! Commencement would not be possible without the involvement and support of Georgia Tech faculty and staff.
Be a Commencement Volunteer!
Join the volunteer team to assist with this semester’s ceremony, and help make this achievement wonderful and memorable for our new alumni. We have a number of ways you can pitch in:
- General Volunteer: Available to help where needed, when it’s needed during the ceremony.
- Field Movement Management: Guides students to and from their seats and the stage during the ceremony. This volunteer shift is about two and a half hours long.
- Interior and Exterior Guest Services: Provide exceptional customer service to guests, including guiding them to their seats.
- Graduate Entrance Directional Assistance: Help manage graduate line traffic, ensuring each graduate is wearing the correct regalia and has their GradPass.
- Graduate Seating Assistance: Assist students in finding their seats, and make sure they are seated when the ceremony begins.
- Seating Assistance: Guide guests requiring accessible accommodations to their seats in the appropriate assigned sections.
- Volunteer Room Assistance: Assist volunteers with headsets, answer questions, etc., and prepare the room for the next ceremony.
